Introducing the NEW Emancipation Proclamation... AGAIN!

Welcome and welcome back. Thank you so much for being here. I am honored you have chosen to join me for a little while.

Today (Monday, August 31, 2020 to be exact) has been a busy day. I have had so much on my mind that I posted it all since I don't know when I'll post again. This is not consistent. That is what I have the weekly YouTube LIVE show, L.U.V. Notes, for.

This is a copy of the flyer I've been handing out about the NEW Emancipation Proclamation. It is a good time to post this information again.

L.U.V. Enterprises Presents…

The NEW

Emancipation

Proclamation

Usually when people are sad, they don’t do anything. They just cry over their condition. But when they get angry, they bring about change.

-Malcolm X

L.U.V. Note: They change themselves!

Q. What is the NEW Emancipation Proclamation?

A. It is an employment opportunity to systemically combat poverty, racial injustice and systemic racism by inviting changes in any given community by each individual in the community creating changes within themselves. There are four communities we aim to employ. Those who are homeless, have been or are incarcerated, (it is ideal as an alternative sentence for those facing jail time), those living in hotels and living in low income housing.

L.U.V. Note: We invite all who are interested to benefit.

Q. What are we proclaiming emancipation from?

A. We proclaim emancipation from:

  1. Self-deception: “We know in the case of the person, that whoever cannot tell the truth about his past is trapped in it, is immobilized in the prison of his undiscovered self. This is also true of nations.” -James Baldwin

L.U.V. Note: Finding out the truth of our pasts and healing from it so we can confidently tell it to create the lives of our dreams

  1. Being un- or under-parented: Being “raised” and just growing up are COMPLETELY different
L.U.V. Note: Breaking the pregnancy to prison pipeline

  2. Poverty: mental, emotional, spiritual and physical

L.U.V. Note: To attract true financial wealth

  1. Self-betrayal: When we choose to not honor ourselves.

L.U.V. Note: Because every journey to greatness will provide situations where we will doubt ourselves even when we know what we should do!

  1. Self-sabotage: When we actively seek to do the opposite of what we know.
L.U.V. Note: What self-betrayal leads to...

The NEW Emancipation Proclamation Difference:

  1. It is “for the people, by the people”. It is for Black people, by Black people.

  2. It is based entirely on the Parable of the Exceptional Samaritan

  3. It is an employment opportunity. Yes! People get paid!

  4. It is culturally relevant. While being steeped in the Black experience of the past, here in the present and looking forward to the future, other cultural traditions and ideas are explored.

  5. It is spiritually centered.

  6. It is scientifically grounded

  7. It is FUN!!!
