I Am A Lender... Part 2

Actually that shouldn't say lender, even though that is what the scripture says. I don't particularly like that title. I consider this next aspect of the journey is to become an investor.  L.U.V. Enterprises is an investment company financed by the community directed by God. Our primary focus for investments is people with land being a close second!  "And how do you expect this to happen?" I know you are asking me this. Good question. Well... there are two ways this is to be accomplished. That sounds kinda crazy but it's true.  The first way is for the hearts of the community to be in line with healing coming as  the Exceptional Samaritan taught by the way he lived. Love, compassion and mercy have got to be the reigning forces in investing in people. To be clear, let's define the three as they are used in L.U.V. Enterprises. 1. L.U.V./Love: This is based on the great commandments which encompasses Love of God (with the four aspects of self namely mind-in

I Am A Lender! Part 1

I just want you to know that this is the most fascinating journey ever. It's a season of fear for many individuals. And yet I'm excited in ways I can't even begin to speak of. Because of the way God rules my life, I'm OK, very OK!  OK... so I'm really sooooo much better than OK. And I know that's going to bother some people. Yet what's interesting about right now is at this time, it is just as OK to be excited and thrilled as it is OK to be worried and afraid.  It all comes down to where your focus is. My focus isn't on the coronavirus. I'm doing my part to keep me and my son healthy which means I don't have to worry about it. So I'm not going to focus on it. I'm moving forward on the other things I was working on before this shutdown all came to pass.  I posted a little while back about how "I'm not a beggar". I wrote about how that was the message I kept getting and so I disconnected from some things. Somewhere in al

"I Am NOT A Beggar"-Part 2

Continued from Part 1 "If one advances confidently in the direction of [their] dreams and endeavors to live the life which [they have] imagined, [they] will meet with success unexpected in common hours."  ~Henry David Thoreau Introducing...  My Cash App Campaign  Cashtag: $Paid2Parent  Name: The L.U.V. L.I.F.E. Cooperative Goal: An investment of $500 to aid my quest to begin the end of homelessness.  Return: Triple return on or before 90 days from the date of deposit.  Note: The idea for investors and a return is based on the parable of the talents in Matthew 25. The parable of the talents has been interpreted in many ways, across many religions. The way it was recently revealed to me is that there are only two things that can be invested: time and money.  In my case, my time has been invested in poverty to receive guidance and direction no one else has. Now I know there will be those who are interested in investing in what I'm doing so I

"I Am NOT A Beggar"-Part 1

This was the message God kept putting in my mind a couple of weekends ago. It wasn't "you are not a beggar". It was "I am not a beggar." Over and over and over again this statement permeated my mind in the middle of the night, mind you. Why? Well, the backdrop to this scenario was it was Friday night into Saturday morning, February 28th into the 29th. There were quite a few events going on Saturday morning and afternoon. I was trying to decide which ones I should attend. There was one by the City of Raleigh about developing rapid transit around affordable housing. It was from 10-11:30 a.m. Note: There used to be relatively rapid transit around affordable housing until gentrification happened. Now people have to travel farther to get to jobs because of the lack of housing they can afford being accessible to the places they work. I digress... Sorta. There was another meeting by the City of Raleigh called the "Mayor's Unity Day" scheduled from

Part 2: L.U.V., Compassion, Mercy

Continued from Part 1... To start off, I know and have experienced and see on a daily basis that when homeless people unite we solve our own dilemmas . This is not an original statement. Others have said it and shown it in the different areas of my life where homelessness is prevalent. I also know and have experienced that individual people who are not homeless (with no other agenda but to help) have helped me and my son FAR more than established organizations. Putting the two groups together will create the changes needed to help individuals and families move from survive to thrive. So… the idea is to create a membership site that will connect people with people . I’d like to do this through Brilliant Directories. They are a company which specializes in offering templates for membership sites the average person can customize to meet their needs.  The way I see it, there are people with genuine needs who can have those needs met by people who can genuinely meet thos

Part 1: L.U.V., Compassion, Mercy

Happy International Women’s Day 2020. I didn’t plan to launch this post today but I guess of all days to create and post it, today is a great day. What’s interesting is it’s actually a pretty good compilation of most of the things I said in three 15 minute videos I recorded on Thursday but never posted. They say “timing is everything” so let’s see what today brings (smile)! For starters, if you don't know my name it is Kara (like the vehicle, car, plus "uh" not the emotion, care, plus "uh") Lynn Sanders. My nickname is Kai (rhymes with hi, sky and bye), which most people call me. I am a mom of one amazing four year old son who is my heart beating outside of me. Being a mom is my career of choice because my son is the client of my dreams and I Love to work for him. His name is Wisdom, a name given by God. I would not have put that much pressure on myself to give my child a name like that to live up to. Since I am a woman of God I didn’t shy away fr
