The Importance of Inspiration and Revelation Good morning ☀️. Today is Wednesday, July 17th. It's another amazing day in paradise 🤩. Welcome and welcome back. Thank you for investing your time here. And not only is God like the wind ( see yesterday's entry ) but God is also in the wind.  Today's post is about inspiration and revelation. To me they are two different things. Yesterday I had 2 experiences that highlighted the differences for me. The first had to do with my post from yesterday, “God is Like the Wind”. I started talking to someone about how I had written on it that morning. I had planned to share some of what I wrote and I couldn't remember any of it. I was totally stumped. I needed to look back to recall what I wrote. For me that was a revelation because it came through me. Based on my experiences, if I had not recorded it, I might never have remembered it. A belated Happy Monday to you 😎. It's another amazing day in paradise 🤩. Thank you so much for investing your time here. I'm giving myself a challenge to post on social media for 13 days straight. My relationship with social media is constantly shifting so this is my way of opening myself to it as a benefit for my me and my business. Since 13 is my lucky number I'm going to start there. Another reason for the challenge is so I can get used to social media as the “new normal” if I'm going to (eventually) be seen, heard and/or taken seriously. What I have to share is revolutionary. Eliminating Homelessness Inside and Out Welcome and welcome back. It's another amazing day in paradise. Thank you so much for being here. There is a quote by Malcolm X that says, “Usually when people are sad, they don’t do anything. They just cry over their condition. But when people get angry, they bring about a change.” What reflection over time taught me about this quote is that Malcolm X wasn’t talking about changing others. He was talking about changing himself. The Malcolm X who was murdered wasn’t the same Malcolm Little who went to prison as a youth. He invested time in changing himself. I mention this because of one of the experiences I had serving on the Joint Wake County/Raleigh Homelessness Task Force. I presented a version of this plan in June 2023 and it was mostly ignored if I acknowledge the snide comments that were made. To be completely honest, I was offended first, then pissed.
