April Showers Bring May Flowers and June Blooms Happy Monday. Welcome and welcome back. It's another amazing day in paradise. Thank you so much for being here.  It's been a while. Wisdom (my son) and I have been on an assignment that could have only been given by God. It has been an amazing adventure.  April and May have truly been months that have played out unlike any other another in our journey.  At every turn we have had more than our fair share of unexpected experiences.  Tonight we will share a few of those April showers that led to our May flowers and are setting the stage for our June Blooms. I hope you will can join us or catch the replay. Thank you again for being here. Enjoy creating your amazing day. Peace...

Moving From Poverty to Prosperity Welcome and Welcome back! It's another amazing day in paradise. Thank you so much for being here.  Happy May! I already know this is going to be my son's favorite month because he is five and he is enthralled with all things five! We are well into spring and we are enjoying some beautiful weather. Along with that beautiful weather has come beautiful people.  I need to thank all those who have contributed to  this super special journey my son and I have been on "exploring" the perils of poverty. An extra special thank you goes to those we met/encountered last Sunday! Thank you so much for your individual and collective goodness!  I want to acknowledge a few others but I don't want to name any names because, for one, we didn't get to speak to everyone and for two, privacy. So I will do it like this. Thank you to #13, Mr. Nigeria and H&B for stopping, conversing and expressing your concern.  I also want to shout out a friend ...

Recognizing Distractions Welcome and welcome back. It's another amazing day in paradise. Thank you for being here. I am honored.  If you weren't sent here by the petition I posted on Change.org, I invite you to stand with me in solidarity as I fight for my right to parent my son in environments that are nurturing to his heart, mind, body and spirit. You can find the petition here:  http://chng.it/56ZqrhhHSx .  What is before you is a modified version of the document I sent to/shared with the Executive Director of the Christian social service ministry who was paying for our housing. It is modified as an attempt to not disclose any identifying information of the organizations or their employees. I hope I have done that sufficiently.  It is not my intent to slander. It is my intent to bring awareness to injustices that go unspoken by those who experience them. I intend to stop them where and when I can.  This is the email I sent early Monday morning hoping to revie...

When God Says Chill! Welcome and welcome back! Happy Monday! It's another amazing day in paradise. Thank you for being here. I am sooooooo very excited. I Love the way God Loves me, trusts me and serves me through the grace and goodness of others.  My son, Wisdom, and I have been on this incredible journey through poverty as research assistants and guinea pigs for God. A couple of weeks ago He let me know the research aspect of our assignment is coming to an end and phase one of implementing what we learned is close at hand.  In the meantime, He told me to chill. I am so grateful I listened. I haven't really been on social media. I have spent more time with my son doing things he wants to do and it has been very cool.  I Love my son. He is simply an amazing child. I know I don't have the very best parenting skills though, so my intention is still to become a Circle of Security workshop facilitator and parent coach  in order to better our relationship and h...

Welcome and welcome back! It's another amazing day in paradise. A belated Happy Monday to you. It's my favorite day of the week. Thank you so much for being here, whether it's for the first time or again. I appreciate you investing your time with me, us (Wisdom and I).   I had a light bulb moment between yesterday afternoon and the early hours of this morning. Yesterday was International Women's Day! It celebrates women around the world making strides in leadership on so many levels. With that in the back of my mind, I pressed forward to complete a blog article to post yesterday. Yet I didn't. Why?  Because I've started planning, effectively. And I should have had the post done before my son woke up and it wasn't. I had scheduled my morning to have time with him. I've really wanted to dedicate a set time to him because our mornings have not been structured. But I was already breaking it by spending the morning trying to get the post done. When I stopped ...

Please Note: This is a repost of the  exact same post from Thursday, February 25.  Time to Shine Welcome and welcome back! It's another amazing day in paradise. Thank you so much for being here.  This has been a long, full day.  It's after 7:30 p.m. and I'm finally creating the time to work on this.  It has been such a crazy amazing week and I have been waiting for this day to come. Of all of the days in the month of February, this one is the most important to me: February 25.  February 25, 1930 is the day my maternal grandmother (my mom's mom) was born ⭐. Cora Dean Lee Sanders, my Nana (nah-nah not nan-na), was a regal woman and cared for me while my mom worked. Her husband, my grandfather, Alexander, (MeMe is what we called him) was equally regal with length to his stature. I Love these two people. I have fond memories of both 😍.    I remember sitting between my Nana's legs getting my hair braided. That conjures up memories of me sitting o...
